Which Facial Is Right for Your Skin? A Hinckley Guide
If you have been searching for a facial in Hinckley, you have probably noticed there are a lot of names: hydro facials, peels, microneedling, carbon facials. The question I get asked most in clinic is simply: "Which one should I have?"
The honest answer is that it depends on your skin and what you would like to change. So here is a straightforward guide to the four facials I offer at my clinic on Burbage Road, what each one is best for, and what to expect.
Hydro Facial: best for dull, dehydrated or congested skin
A Hydro Facial uses hydro dermabrasion to cleanse, exfoliate and gently extract congestion from your pores, then infuses the skin with hydrating, antioxidant-rich serums. There is no downtime, so it is a lovely choice before an event or whenever your skin is looking tired.
Price: £79 per session, or a course of 3 for £199. You can add Dermalux LED light therapy for £30.
Chemical Peel: best for uneven tone, pigmentation and rough texture
Our ClinicCare chemical peels remove the dull outer layer of dead skin cells to reveal brighter, smoother skin underneath. The strength of the peel is chosen for your skin at consultation. Some people notice light flaking for a few days afterwards, and daily SPF is a must while your skin renews.
Price: £75 per session, or a course of 3 for £195.
Microneedling: best for acne scarring, fine lines and texture
Microneedling uses the DermaFocus anti-backflow pen to create thousands of tiny controlled channels in the skin. This encourages your skin's own collagen and elastin production, while an EGF or exosome serum is absorbed more deeply. Expect some redness for a day or two. Results build gradually over a course, which is why I usually recommend three sessions.
Price: from £99 per session, or a course of 3 with EGF for £250.
Carbon Hollywood Facial: best for open pores, oily skin and an instant glow
With a Carbon Hollywood Facial, a fine layer of medical-grade carbon is applied and then treated with laser energy. The carbon lifts out oil and impurities as it is cleared away, leaving pores looking tighter and skin brighter straight away, with no downtime.
Price: £140 per session, or a course of 3 for £360.
Quick guide: which facial for your skin?
Dull, tired or dehydrated skin: Hydro Facial
Pigmentation or uneven skin tone: Chemical Peel
Acne scarring, fine lines or texture: Microneedling
Large pores or oily skin: Carbon Hollywood Facial

Why one facial is rarely enough
Your skin renews itself roughly every four to six weeks, and that slows down as we get older. One facial gives you a lovely boost, but the real changes (clearer pores, a more even tone, smoother texture) come from treating your skin regularly, in the same way one trip to the gym will not change your fitness.
Skin Gym: a professional facial every month
That is exactly why I created Skin Gym, my monthly facial membership. Choose one facial every month (Hydro Facial, Chemical Peel, Microneedling or Carbon Hollywood) with LED light therapy every time, plus your own Personal Skin Plan reviewed at every visit.
Founding members pay £39 per month for the first 3 months, then £59 per month with the price locked for 2 years. There is a 6-month minimum membership. Founding members also get a free welcome gift: £100 off Nano Brows or a £50 brow wax & tint voucher. Only 20 founding spots are available, and the offer closes on 1st December.
